AVO is current in the prequalification systems utility partners require, including ISNetworld and Avetta. AVO's EHS Manual is written, approved and maintained in-house.
AVO's EHS framework is backed by documented procedures, training records, and stop-work authority in the field.
Daily job safety analyses, hazard recognition, PPE programs, and NESC and NFPA 70E requirements built into standard work procedures.
Every AVO employee holds stop-work authority over any task that cannot be performed safely. Work does not resume until the hazard is controlled.
Drug- and alcohol-free workplace, registered in the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing. Hours of service documented.
Personnel are trained and qualified under OSHA 1910.269 and 1926 Subpart V, NESC, and NFPA 70E, and hold utility-specific qualifications before deployment.
Safety decisions are made by the journeyman linemen who run the crews, on the job and in real time.
AVO mobilizes its internal crews first, then scales with vetted IBEW linemen from the AVO Storm Roster as the event demands. Crews and equipment stage from more than one state and have responded to named hurricanes, ice storms, derechos, and nor'easters across the eastern U.S. and Gulf.
Standby agreements and First Right of Refusal arrangements are arranged before the season.
AVO has performed restoration and construction work for more than 20 host utilities across the eastern U.S. and Gulf, under direct utility engagements and through established contracting partnerships.
AVO is an IBEW signatory contractor. Every crew it fields is union, qualified through the locals, and working under the agreement.
